Jostens Class Ring: Jostens will be in Thursday, September 19th during lunch, in the cafeteria, for class ring measurement and orders. Please remember your order form and $50 down payment. You may design your ring and print your order form at www.jostens.com. Packets are also available in the main office.

Muslim Student Association: Panther Family, on Thursday September 19th, in room 1121, the first official Muslim Student Association meeting will be taking place from 2:45-3:45 pm. If you love learning about different cultures, love doing charity work, and want to learn about your Muslim peers, please join us. Everyone is welcome! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Lejla Mahmudi in room 1121 or Mr. Edwin Monarrez in room 1113. Thank you!

Homecoming: ALL STUDENTS–Want to win a ticket to Homecoming, $25 Gift Certificate to Maggianos or an Escape Room Experience? Raffle tickets go on sale for $1 this week during lunch periods through Thursday, September 26th. Drawing will be at the Homecoming Pep Rally Friday, September 27th.

Student Council: Are you ready for Homecoming? Next week is GBN Homecoming 2019 Out of This World! Tickets will start being sold this week during lunches. Tickets will be $20 and $30 at the dance. Guest forms can be picked up outside the Dean’s office and must be complete before buying a ticket.

Super Fans: Congrats to our Football Team on a GREAT WIN this past Friday. The Panther Football team will be at Batavia High School at 7:30pm this coming Friday, September 20th. Theme is Neon.

Health Office: Sleep is an important part of our daily routine. In the United States as many as 85% of teenagers are not getting the recommended 8.5 hours of sleep each night (National Sleep Foundation, 2019). Sleep helps to fuel your brain and your body. Teens need more sleep because their bodies and minds are growing quickly. To be at your best, you need between 8 and 10 hours of sleep every day. Lack of sleep causes drowsiness, lack of concentration, difficulty controlling your mood, and an increased risk of accidents such as drowsy driving accidents. Lack of sleep affects how you perform on tests, on the field, at home with family members, and at school with friends. Creating good sleep habits are important for more information look up SLEEP HYGIENE. SO, to be your best self this year, work on getting more sleep each night!

Girls Basketball: All girls interested in playing basketball this winter who are not in a fall sport, preseason conditioning starts today, September 17th after school. Meet on the track at 2:45pm. Come ready to work out and play basketball.

Black Student Association: BSA will be meeting Thursday, September 19th at 2:45 in room 1454. All are welcome to join!

National Technical Honor Society: STEM is a fast growing field and interested by many students. Join the National Technical Honor Society to be part of this field. Come to the computer lab (1565) on Thursdays starting September 19th to learn more about different fields, competitions to participate in and the competition North will be running this October! See Mr. OBrien for details.

Woods Club: Interested in coming to learn how to make your own projects, carve designs or more about woodworking? Please come to North’s Woodshop every Tuesday at 2:45-4:00 to learn more. Talk to Mr. OBrien if you have questions!

Club Interact: Interested in giving back? Want to Volunteer? Club Interact is a great way to get involved!! Our first Interact meeting will be Tuesday, September 17th at 2:45 in the faculty cafeteria…Hope to see you there!!
