School Counseling: Seniors! Early action deadlines are approaching FAST! Get help on your college applications Tuesday, October 17th during ALL lunch periods. Come to the iLab (2233) to get help from GBN and UIUC alum, Krystal Sanchez, from the Illinois Student Assistance Commission. See your counselor with questions!
 
Club Interact: Attention all Club Interact! Our next meeting will be Tuesday the 17th after school in the faculty cafeteria. We will be decorating Fall Food Drive boxes and will be taking our group picture for the yearbook! See you there!!
 
Bowling: Anyone interested in participating on the 2023-2024 Glenbard North Bowling Team, there will be an informational meeting before school at 7:10am, Thursday Morning, October 12 in room #1581, the Driver Ed classroom. If you have any questions, please email or see Coach Manuel in Driver Ed.
 
Attention Sophomores and Juniors!  Want to explore a career or earn college credit in high school? Join  the Technology Center of Dupage Field Trip on November 30th  to see all programs. You can pick from Robotics, Early Childhood Education,  Autos, Culinary Arts, Cosmetology and many more! Come down to the School Counseling Office to sign up for two programs.  You will then be provided a Field Trip Permission Slip. The deadline to turn in the field trip form to the School Counseling Office is November 10th. Spots fill up fast so don’t delay.
 
Esport Team: Esports is coming to GBN. To be a founding member of our first Esports team, attend the Esports Interest Meeting on Wednesday, October 18th in the Library after school. All of your questions about our Esports season will be answered!
 
World Language Department: Are you fluent in a language NOT taught at our school (Polish, Urdu, Japanese, etc.)?Are you a current senior? Did you score AT LEAST a 480 on your English ERW SAT? If you answered YES to ALL THREE of these questions you may be eligible to earn the Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy. The Illinois State Seal of Biliteracy affords you many tremendous advantages to earn college foreign language credit as well as earn post-secondary scholarship opportunities. We will be testing several additional languages on December 8th, 2023. If you would like to be tested, please scan the QR code or click on the link to complete the google form NO LATER THAN October 26th. Please contact Mrs. Balhan with questions.
 
Black Student Association: October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and BSA is sponsoring a toiletry drive to benefit the Family Service Shelter. The shelter is in need of items like: toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, shampoo(various hair textures), deodorant, and feminine products. For the entire month of October you can drop off these items off by the mural at Door 1. Thank you for your support.
 
Yearbook: LAST CHANCE to appear in the yearbook! Grades 9-11 and staff pictures will take place on Thursday, October 12th. All sessions will be held during lunch periods in the faculty cafeteria. Dress to impress and don’t miss out! There is no cost to appear in the yearbook.
