Glenbard-Wide Film Contest: Enter the 2025 Glenbard Film Contest

Glenbard students are encouraged to enter the 2025 Glenbard Film Contest – the challenge is to make a film in one week!
Students can film over spring break and be entered to win a $100/$65/$35 Amazon gift card. That week is March 28 to April 7, and entries must be submitted fully edited by Tuesday, April 8. All approved films will be featured in the Glenbard Film Festival on May 9th at Glenbard East’s Rider Hall.
Students can register via the entry form link below and will be added to the email list. An email will be sent out to all students registered with a sound cue, prop, line of dialogue, and shot type that needs to be included in the film, along with other guidelines and instructions on how to submit. All entries will be showcased in the Glenbard Film Festival on May 9th. Sponsored by Glenbard East Fine Arts and Glenbard East Video Club. FEM Club: Looking for a safe and empowering space to help raise awareness around women’s issues?! Come check out Feminism Empowerment Movement Club! Our next meeting is this Thursday, March 27th from 3:15-4pm in Mrs. Nyland/Ms. Ladas’s room 1114! We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month! Everyone is welcome!

 

School Counseling: COD will be here Tuesday, March 25th during PLC time in the library to help you get your COD  application done or get the COD portal set-up if you have already applied. See Mr. Thomas if you have questions.

Interact: The Carol Stream Food Drive is at Glenbard North on April 12th from 10-4 pm… Please see the flyer for more information on how to volunteer or donate to a great cause which supports 5 surrounding food banks in the area.  

 

Panther Closet: As the weather warms up, come check out the Panther Closet.  We have FREE clothes, shoes, and accessories.  Visit Glenbard North’s very own thrift shop.  We are open Wednesdays before school or by appointment if you email Ms. Buck-Castaneda.  The Panther Closet is the perfect place to find spirit wear, spring jackets, an outfit for a job interview, and much more.  We have all sizes and styles – and even plenty of new clothes with the tags still on them! The North Current – Student Newspaper: Join the North Current – Glenbard North’s student newspaper!  We are looking for writers, photographers, graphic designers, website designers, leaders, and more.  No experience is necessary, and it’s not too late to join.  We meet on Mondays after school in the library.  Come check us out. Anime: Anyone who is interested in watching and discussing anime is welcome to attend! We meet from 3:15 – 4:15 in room 1235. Here are our dates for the rest of the school year:  3/6 (Spirited Away), 3/20 (Spirited Away), 4/10, 4/24, *change to Monday’s* 5/5, & 5/12 (last Anime meeting). Prom: Juniors & Seniors: Prom ticket sales begin on Saturday, April 12th!  If you’re bringing a guest to Prom, please be sure to check Schoology Groups  (Class of 2025 and Class of 2026) for updates regarding Dance Guest Passes.
