OLAS: Come support OLAS at Entre Santos restaurant in Carol Stream for a fundraiser on Wednesday, March 18th from 4-7pm. 20% of sales will go to OLAS to help us continue to host cultural events like Latin Night. Thank you for your support!
 
Girls Track & Field: Congratulations to the Girls Track & Field team for their FIRST PLACE finish at Friday’s Addison Trail Invitational.  Both the JV and Varsity teams placed first overall in the 9 team invitational.  Varsity event winners included:

4x800m Relay (Keairah Kingcade, Andrea Lopez, Peyton Marshall, Jazlene Korsch)
300m Dash – Aliyah Cary
55m Dash – Anaiah Williams
800m Run – Jazlene Korsch
4x160m Relay (Anaiah Williams, Aliyah Cary, Gabi Gutman, Haley Dove)
High Jump – Haley Dove
Long Jump – Anaiah Williams
Triple Jump – Janelle Mosley
This Friday, the Girls Track & Field team hosts the prestigious Bud Swanson Invitational at North Central College.  Field events begin at 5:00pm with Track events at 5:30pm. Come check out the action! 

Future Teachers of America: Hey FTA’ers.  The Future Teachers of America will be watching a teacher movie after school in room 1241.  The film is “The Ron Clark Story.”  We will be enjoying pizza and pop.  Please email Mr. Schuldt if you’re attending, so I can get the right amount of pizza.  See you then!

Bass Fishing: Any students interested in GBN Bass Fishing should attend the informational meeting after school from 3:15-3:45pm on Thursday, 3/12 in room 1220. Contact Coach Stark with any questions. Coach Starks email can be seen in student’s emails.

Softball: Anyone looking to purchase any softball gear from our team store use the link can be seen in student’s emails.
 

Math Department: Attention all students! The math department is hosting the ninth annual Pi Day raffle. You may purchase raffle tickets from your math teacher for a chance to win pizza and pie for you and friends during your lunch. See the flyer in your math classrooms or ask your math teacher for more details about this irrational event. The winner will be randomly chosen after school on Thursday, March 12. Good luck!

AVID: Join us for AVID BINGO Night on March 11th from 6:00–7:30 PM!  We are inviting all students, staff, family, and friends to come out for a fun evening of BINGO, prizes, and community as we raise money for our AVID Senior Scholarship. Your support will help make a meaningful difference in the lives of our graduating seniors. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Dailey or any of the AVID teachers. We hope to see you there!

Friendship Bracelets: Spread the Love: Friendship Bracelet Sale! Want to brighten a friend’s day and support a great cause? Whether it’s a “thank you” to your bestie or a “keep crushing it” to a classmate, we’ve got you covered! Starting March 9, we’re bringing back the classic friendship bracelet—with a twist.

How It Works:
1. Pick Your Style: Choose a bracelet for either $1 or $2.
2. Write a Note: Every purchase comes with a card for you to write a personalized message.
3. We Deliver: Give us your friend’s name, and we’ll handle the rest! Your friend will receive their bracelet and note delivered right to them.
The Details:
When: Monday, March 9 – Friday, March 13
Where: The cafeteria (during all lunch periods)
Cost: $1 or $2 (includes bracelet + card + delivery)
Delivery: Between March 10 – March 17
Why It Matters:
All proceeds go directly to the EL Scholarship fund. You aren’t just buying a bracelet; you’re helping a fellow student reach their goals.

Theatre: Glenbard North Theatre is proud to present its spring studio play, “The Layover”! THE STORY: A couple of oddly intrusive passengers. A perplexing older couple. New parents. A loud family with a bratty kid. This is the company Dana keeps while she waits in a crowded airport for her next flight to … well … to wherever she’s going. But not all is as it seems. As Dana interacts with the other waiting passengers, she begins to learn that if she wants to get where she’s going, she’ll have to figure out who she really is. The Layover runs March 12th and 14th at 7:30pm and March 13th at 4:30pm. Tickets are $5 at the door or online link can be seen in student emails.

Athletic Office: Spring will be here before you know it and if you plan on going out for a spring sport this year now is the time to see if you have all the requirements met to participate. You will need a Current physical, Registration for Athletics and our course a Gold Card.  You can find the Gold Card Request Form Link can be seen in students emails and in the athletics office, fill it out see if you’re ready for Spring.
