Spanish Club: Come join us at our next Spanish Club meeting on Monday, March 17th at 3:05pm in room 1233. We will learn about March celebrations in Spain like Las Fallas & Carnaval and do a St. Patrick’s Day craft. There will also be a snack for you to enjoy 🙂 All are welcome!
 
Girls Track and Field: Congratulations to the Girls Track and Field team for winning the Addison Trail Invitational at both the JV and Varsity levels.  Varsity event winners included the 4x160m Relay (Aliyah Cary, Keairah Kingcade, Hailey Dove & Anaiah Williams), Frankie McGinn in the Shot Put and Peyton Marshall in the Triple Jump.  The team competes again this Friday when they host the Bud Swanson Invitational.  
 
FEM Club: Looking for a safe and empowering space to help raise awareness around women’s issues?! Come check out Feminism Empowerment Movement Club! Our next meeting is this Thursday, March 13th from 3:15-4pm in Mrs. Nyland/Ms. Ladas’s room 1114! We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of every month! Everyone is welcome! 
 
Panther Closet: As the weather warms up, come check out the Panther Closet.  We have FREE clothes, shoes, and accessories.  Visit Glenbard North’s very own thrift shop.  We are open Wednesdays before school or by appointment if you email Ms. Buck-Castaneda.  The Panther Closet is the perfect place to find spirit wear, spring jackets, an outfit for a job interview, and much more.  We have all sizes and styles – and even plenty of new clothes with the tags still on them! The North Current – Student Newspaper: Join the North Current – Glenbard North’s student newspaper!  We are looking for writers, photographers, graphic designers, website designers, leaders, and more.  No experience is necessary, and it’s not too late to join.  We meet on Mondays after school in the library.  Come check us out. National Art Honor Society: Empty Bowls season is here!  National Art Honor Society invites all Staff + Faculty to come to the Ceramics room (1458) after PLC on 3/18 to decorate a bowl for our annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser. We will have a variety of bowls to choose from, you just come down and decorate! Come as an individual, department, team, or club. All bowls will be auctioned off the night of the event (April 11th, 5pm, student cafeteria) and 100% of proceeds go to Neighborhood Food Pantry. No experience necessary, NAHS members will be there to help make sure you create a piece that is sure to spark a bidding war! Contact April Macatangay for more info.
 
Voter Registration Drive: We will have a Voter Registration Drive tomorrow during all lunch periods on Friday, March 7th in the cafeteria during all lunch periods. If you are a U.S. Citizen and you will be 18 on or by April 1st you can register to vote in the upcoming April 1st election. Please bring your drivers license and/or state ID, your school ID, and the last four digits of your SSN. See the following presentation for more information or contact Kevin Erday with questions. 
 
Boys Volleyball: Anyone interested in playing Volleyball this Spring Try-outs will begin March 10th right after school.  Make sure you have your Gold Card.  Any questions please see Coach Debo.
 
Anime: Anyone who is interested in watching and discussing anime is welcome to attend! We meet from 3:15 – 4:15 in room 1235. Here are our dates for the rest of the school year:  3/6 (Spirited Away), 3/20 (Spirited Away), 4/10, 4/24, *change to Monday’s* 5/5, & 5/12 (last Anime meeting). OLAS:  is hosting Latin Night on Saturday, March 22. There will be a DJ, latin music all night and a performance by OLAS! All of GBN is invited! Tickets are $15 and go on sale Friday March 7th on GoFan. GBN students can bring one guest from a Glenbard school, guest passes are available now in the dean’s office. See you there! 
 
National Honor Society: NHS is hosting a Peanut Butter & Jelly Donation Drive for the DuPage Food Pantry from March 3 to March 14! Peanut butter and jelly are always in high demand, and your donations can make a real difference. Please drop off your contributions in the designated boxes located at Door 1, the Main Office, AV, AP Café, or the Library.

Glenbard North Theatre: is proud to present is spring studio, “Mustardseed”.Thrilled to be cast in a current production of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Mustardseed buckles down to read the play and memorize her lines—all four of them! But she couldn’t prepare for the backstage comedy that unfolds with the other three teenage girls cast as fairies. Although they never buckle down to read the play, each character experiences a real-life coming-of-age moment in a young girl’s journey through high school that is underscored and illuminated by the themes in Shakespeare’s text.
