SADD: Mental Health Awareness Week.  SADD is raising awareness for mental health the week of January 27-31.  If you purchased the “You Matter” t-shirt, please wear it on Monday January 27th  to remind students and staff that their mental health matters.  If you did not purchase a t-shirt and would still like one, I have a few extra.  I am in room 1241.  Thank you all for supporting SADD in raising awareness for mental health.
 
MSA: There will be an MSA (Muslim Student Association) Meeting on Monday January 27th after school in Room 1322.  Come kick off the Spring Semester with us.
 
School Counseling: On Tuesday, 1/28 during all lunch periods ISAC will be here to help with Financial Aid and college application questions. In addition, on the 29th of this month there is a Financial Aid/FAFSA workshop at Glenside Public Library from 6-8PM. Great time to get help with FAFSA and Financial Aid questions.
 
Girls Track and Field: The 2025 Girls Track and Field season begins on February 3rd.  Register in PowerSchool and get your Gold Card now.  Join the team for pre-season workouts on Wednesday and Friday at 3:15pm.  Contact Coach Day though his email Eric Day with any questions.

Interact: Attention all Interact!  Our first meeting of second semester will be before school in the faculty cafeteria on Tuesday 1/28 at 7:40 am…hope to see you all there to discuss all second semester volunteer opportunities!
 
Bass Fishing: Any students interested in GBN Bass Fishing should attend the informational meeting after school from 3-3:30pm on Thursday, 1/30 in room 1220. Contact Coach Stark with any questions at email coach starke, email is in student’s email.
 
Indian Student Association: Glenbard North’s Indian Student Association proudly presents our 2025 India Night show: Heroes.  As one of the largest cultural shows in the state, we have a long-standing tradition of presenting the beautiful culture of the Indian subcontinent.  Please join us on January 31st and February1st for an unforgettable evening of music, dancing, singing and acting!India Night Tickets 2025 link available in student’s email.
 
Show Stompers Step Team: Attention Staff ONLY: Would you like to be apart of The Show Stompers Winter Pep Assembly Performance? Here is your chance to show off your dancing or step skills. You will learn a step and dance that will be performed at The Winter Pep Assembly.If you would like to be apart meet us at practice January 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 21st, and 23rd at 3:30 pm in the south cafeteria. Athletics: The Spring Gold Card Link is now Available please scan the QR Code that is in student’s emails and found in athletics.
 
Girls Badminton: Are you a Fall or Winter athlete looking to stay conditioned? Badminton is a great sport to get involved in! Open gyms are in full swing this month! Check out the calendar and follow the links that are in students emails to do at home conditioning to prepare you for the season. No experience required. Rackets are available for use. 
 
Theatre: AUDITION Notice! Interested in auditioning for the spring shows, Mustardseed and The Addams Family Musical? Acting auditions will be on February 3rd, singing will occur on February 4th and dance on February 5th. For more information for what to prepare/what to expect, look at the link that can be found are in students emails. If you’ve got any questions, reach out to Ms. Gillis or Ms.Talarico. We hope to see you at auditions!
 
BSA: BSA is seeking performers for our Black History Program. The Rhythm of Our Roots: A Journey Through Black Storytelling  If you are interested in singing, rapping, spoken work, or presenting  an artistic or dramatic piece please reach out to Ms. Teague or a member of BSA. The performance will be after school on February 25th.
 
Civics Club: Is one of your 2025 goals to get involved in your community? Civics Club is the place for you! Join us to help organize an event at school to meet local leaders and learn about their jobs and upcoming elections. Meetings are on Mondays after school in Room 1110 with Mrs. Bray-Parker and Ms. McDonnell on 1/13, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/24. See you there!
 
ANIME CLUB: All are welcome! We meet every other Thursday from 3:15 – 4:15 in room 1235. Our first meeting will be 1/9/25. We will be watching  Sonic OVA the movie! Come meet new people and talk anime. Contact Kerry Windle through email with any questions.
