Interact: Please stop down to the student cafeteria for Glenbard North’s annual Valentines for Vets activity during all lunch periods Wednesday, February 5th! Supplies will be provided so that you can make some cards and show the love to those currently in service or that have served on our behalf!

 

SuperFans: Two big events to support this week. Come to our CHEER STATE SEND OFF – Thursday, 2/6 @ 4:30pm. Meet by Door 10 to cheer on our cheer team who’s competing at state this weekend. Prizes for the first 10 ppl who show up!! And WHITE OUT BOYS BBALL VS. LAKE PARK – Friday 2/7 @ 7pm. Let’s get loud!! Go Panthers!!

OLAS: Come make heart shaped piñatas with OLAS for Valentines Day to celebrate love and friendship! RSVP and meet us on Friday, February 14th after school in the cafeteria from 3-4:15 pm. Girls Badminton: BADMINTON OPEN GYM IS CANCELLED THIS WEEK! The next open gym is Wednesday, February 12th 6:30-8 pm in the Main Gym. Please make sure you start the process to get your Gold Card. You will NOT BE ABLE TO tryout if you do not have a Gold Card. Also, please take a second to give your input on fundraising this year. Follow the link which can be seen in students email.

 

Panther Press N: is a student run micro business at Glenbard North. We will be selling shirts to celebrate Black History Month. Shirts are $15.00 each. Cash or check will be accepted. Orders will be taken from Feb. 3-12th. Shirts will be delivered the week of

Civics Club: Local Candidate Open House! Civics Club is hosting an event for the community to meet candidates running for local government positions in the GBN cafeteria on Saturday, March 1st from 10:00am-1:00pm. Stop by Civics Club Mondays after school to learn about how to help with the event. We hope to see you there!

 

Girls Track & Field: The Girls Track & Field season begins this week.  Get your Gold Card and join the team for practice at 3:15pm in the Dance Studio.  Contact Coach Eric Day by email with any questions.  

 

Greek Club: Want to learn about Greek culture, food, music, traditions, and more?? Come check out Greek Club! Everyone is welcome! Our next meeting is this Thursday, February 6th in room 1114 from 3:15-4pm!!

 

The Write Place: The Write Place is running a Valentine’s Day-themed promotion through the beginning of February. Submit your entry for a chance to win a Dunkin’ gift card! Anyone who enters can also pick up a candy bar on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14th) at The Write Place. Details for the submission will be given soon. Form in available in students email.

 

Panther Closet: The Panther Closet, located in the student cafeteria, is a FREE resource available to Glenbard North students and staff.  The closet is stocked with clothes, coats, shoes, accessories, and toiletries for the Panther community.  If you are in need of clothes or love to go thrifting, the Panther Closet is the place for you.  The Panther closet will be open on Wednesday mornings before school starting on January 29.  Stop by and check out what we have to offer.  Everything in the Panther Closet is FREE, and you are welcome to take as much as you like.  If you cannot get to the closet before school on Wednesday mornings, please email Ms. Buck-Castaneda to schedule a time to visit.  If you are interested in volunteering to help out in the Panther Closet, please email Ms. Buck-Castaneda.

Theatre: AUDITION Notice! Interested in auditioning for the spring shows, Mustardseed and The Addams Family Musical? Join us to help organize an event at school to meet local leaders and learn about their jobs and upcoming elections.
