Prism: Please join us at GBN’s Prism club TODAY after school in room 1104! Prism is a club for all LGBTQ+ folks, and their allies. We meet on a monthly basis, on the first Wednesday of every month, all school year long. We meet to do group building activities, play games, educate ourselves, discuss current event topics, and host guest speakers. We look forward to seeing you there!
Fine Arts: Are you interested in pursuing a career in the Fine Arts but not sure where to start? Interested in hearing more about the admission process? Glenbard North is going to be hosting the D87 Fine Arts College and Career Night on October 20th from 6:00pm-9:00pm in the Little Theatre. The event will feature a variety of sessions including a college fair, admissions panel and panels featuring professionals/alumni in theatre & dance, music, art and photography & film. Girls Basketball: Girls Basketball open gym will take place on Tuesday this week from 2:45-4:15. Also, preseason conditioning will take place Wednesday and Thursday from 2:45-4:00. Weather permitting we will meet on the track, come dressed appropriately and ready to workout inside and outside. Anyone not participating in a Fall sport should plan to attend. Girls basketball season begin with tryouts on Oct. 31. See Coach Wit if you have any questions.

Pass the Aux: Has a song ever made you feel a type of way? Brought you back to a memory? Or helped to show someone how you feel? If so, then join the new club called “Pass the Aux” where we will literally pass the aux. Let’s listen to, share, and talk about all of your favorite music. The Write Place: Feeling spooky, GBN? Spooky season is upon us and to start the season off right, The Write Place needs your help to complete The Mystery of Harris Burdick’s Stories! Peter Wenders is looking for someone to finish the last story of Harris Burdick–a mysterious man that left his work behind and was never heard from again. Look for our promotional fliers around the school to scan the QR code to our google form for more information about your task and to submit your entry. The best story will receive a gift card and a special spooky gift from The Write Place! You must submit your story via the google form by Monday, October 31st at 2:30pm. Let’s get spooky, GBN!
Movie Club: Attention all students: do you like watching movies? Do you like talking about movies you’ve watched? Then consider joining Movie Club! Interested students should attend a brief informational meeting right after school on Thursday October 6th in room 2-243, or contact Mr. Carey for details.
The North Current: Both Peter Parker and Clark Kent were journalists. You can be a superhero too. Join the North Current, Glenbard North’s student newspaper. Our next all staff meeting will be on Thursday, October 6 after school in the library. We are always looking for writers, photographers, and artists. No experience is necessary. School Counseling: Juniors: Mark your calendars for Wednesday, October 5th from 6-8pm for Junior Parent and Student College Night!
TCD Fieldtrip: Attention Sophomores and Juniors! Want to explore a career or earn college credit in high school? Join the Technology Center of Dupage Field Trip on November 3rd to see all programs. You can pick from Robotics to Early Childhood Education and Autos to Culinary Arts or Cosmetology! See Schoology Class of 2024 and 2025 messages to access the Field Trip form. Be sure to choose two programs and get a parent/guardian signature. Deadline to turn in forms to the School Counseling Office is October 14th.
Woodworking Club: Hey Anyone who is interested in joining woods club, please come to the woodshop on Tuesdays to build personal projects or come and learn how to use the machines so you can help build projects for the school! Hope to see you in room1570!
Wrestling: The wrestling team is hosting open mats every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:00PM-7:15PM until the start of the season on November 7th. Everyone is welcome to come and there is no experience needed. We will also be starting a girls program this year so any girls that are interested in wrestling please come to open mats every Tuesday and Thursday night.
