TCD Field Trip: Attention Sophomores and Juniors! Come explore Technology Center of DuPage (TCD) on Wednesday, December 5th. Get a head start on college and careers through opportunities with TCD as an elective. If interested, pick up an Explore TCD Field Trip Form from Mrs. McHale in the School Counseling Office and return it to her by November 9th. Get more information about TCD electives at www.tcdupage.org.

 Athletics: Winter Sports are just around the corner. Make sure to stop by the Athletic Office to pick up your Gold Card today! You can pick up a gold card from Ms. Hengesh before school, after school or during your lunch hour.

 Wrestling: Any person who is interested in coming out for wrestling this season, please attend the beginning of the season meeting on Thursday, November 1st, in the varsity wrestling room. This meeting is for any person, any grade level, that is interested. The meeting will begin at 2:35 p.m. Please bring a lock to secure a locker in the wrestling aisle.

 Science Olympiad: Science Olympiad is back at Glenbard North! Science Olympiad is a competition based science club where we participate in a variety of events- we have events based on biology, chemistry, physics, astronomy, and engineering, so if you are interested in learning how you can be part of our team, come to our first meeting today at 2:45 in room 2308!

 Boys Basketball: Reminder: All boys interested in trying out for basketball need to have their gold card turned into their level coach by Wednesday, October 31st.

Jostens: Jostens will be at school on Tuesday, October 30th for cap, gown and graduation orders during lunch periods, in the cafeteria. Also, on this day students may come see Jostens for class ring measurements and orders. Please remember your order form and $50 down payment. You may design your ring and print your order form at www.jostens.com.

 The Quad: Do you wish that you could have better understanding in your math class and start making higher scores on all assignments? Come to the Quad during any lunch period and receive help from our amazing Quad Squad tutors! This week we will be giving away free Halloween candy to all visitors who come!

Scholastic Bowl: At the New Trier Scobol Solo event this past Saturday, Jeromel Lara finished with a 5-2 record against the state’s top players. Thomas Kent tied for 1st place among all contestants in the categories of Chemistry, Math, and Music, while Vincent Cauilan and Charlie O’Leary earned top honors in British Literature. Way to go, Panthers!

Football: Congratulations to Mike Wellman and Kobie Jamison who we’re selected to the All-conference team. Special mentions we’re Jake Wilson and Max Sherser. Honorable mentions were, Mike Oswald, John Cassidy, Ang Cusamano, Rory Hills, Jordan Mcquarters, Jahquell Reese. Great job boys!

 Girls Cross-Country: Congratulations to the Girls Cross-Country team as they finished off their season competing at this past Saturday’s Sectional Championship. For the 2nd year in a row, your Lady Panthers competed at the Sectional as a team. A special congratulations to the three Seniors who finished off their high school Cross-Country career: Elelta Sisay, Clare Cerny and Sam Ferengul. Great job Ladies! A reminder to all girls on the team – final uniform collection will be tomorrow, after school in the storeroom.

Future Doctors of America: Do you have a loved one fighting cancer today? A friend that was recently diagnosed? Someone you’re distantly connected with but still want to help? Are you looking for a way to remind your warrior that they are not fighting alone? A way to spread a little cheer? HallieStrong is a non for profit group who helps caregivers and cancer patients by sending care packages filled with crazy socks and words of encouragement. FDA is collecting all sizes of crazy socks to assist the HallieStrong mission. Check out www.halliestrong.org and drop off pairs of new crazy socks to a member or in designated boxes.

SADD: Please join SADD in celebrating Red Ribbon Week by wearing a red ribbon and showing that you will say “no” to drugs. SADD members will be handing out red ribbons today. On Wednesday, SADD will be handing out a special treat with an important message during all lunches.
