The North Current – student newspaper: How well do you know Glenbard North? (HINT: the photo was taken in an area of the building accessible to all students). Click on the link in the article and make your guess as to where the photo was taken. The first correct guess wins.

Scholastic Bowl: Congratulations to the Panther JV Quiz Bowl team, which, after initially dropping last-second losses to two top teams, managed to win their next 4 matches in a row at the 22-23 Wheaton North Falcon Classic. Freshman Ishanth Dontha and sophomores Maddie Paulien and Madalyn Cook led the attack, connecting on 4.00, 3.74, and 2.60 hits per match, respectively. Way to go, Panthers!

 Triple A club meeting: Triple A will meet after school on Thursday, October 13th, 2022 from 2: 30PM to 3: 30PM at room 1-204. Games and Treats. Bring your friends!

World Language Department: Attention Seniors: Are you fluent in a language we don’t offer at GBN? Did you score at least a 480 on the EBRW portion of the SAT? If so, you are eligible to test to earn the Seal of Biliteracy! Please scan the QR code found around the building, on the monitors, or in your Class of 23 Schoology group! You MUST register by October 21st! See Mrs. Balhan with questions.

Pass the Aux: Has a song ever made you feel a type of way? Brought you back to a memory? Or helped to show someone how you feel? If so, then come to our next meeting of “Pass the Aux” where we listen to, share, and talk about all of your favorite music. Meet us on October 19th in room 1235 at 2:45.

Math Team: Interested in joining the Math Team this year? There will be an informational meeting after school on Wednesday, October 19 in room 2118. Hope to see you there!  

Bowling: Any student interested in being part of the Glenbard North Bowling Team please attend the informational meeting on Monday, October 17th at 2:45 in the Driver Ed Simulation Room #1586. If you have any questions please contact Coach Manuel in the Driver Ed Office.

Link Crew: Attention Freshmen! Link Crew leaders are excited to host a FREE event for the Class of 2026! Join us on Wednesday, October 19th from 2:35-5:00pm in the cafeteria for pumpkin decorating, snacks, raffles & prizes, and a movie (in the Auditorium)! Don’t forget your student ID. See you there!

Fine Arts: Are you interested in pursuing a career in the Fine Arts but not sure where to start? Interested in hearing more about the admission process? Glenbard North is going to be hosting the D87 Fine Arts College and Career Night on October 20th from 6:00pm-9:00pm in the Little Theatre. The event will feature a variety of sessions including a college fair, admissions panel and panels featuring professionals/alumni in theatre & dance, music, art and photography & film. The Write Place:   Feeling spooky, GBN? Spooky season is upon us and to start the season off right, The Write Place needs your help to complete The Mystery of Harris Burdick’s Stories! Peter Wenders is looking for someone to finish the last story of Harris Burdick–a mysterious man that left his work behind and was never heard from again. Look for our promotional fliers around the school to scan the QR code to our google form for more information about your task and to submit your entry. The best story will receive a gift card and a special spooky gift from The Write Place! You must submit your story via the google form by Monday, October 31st at 2:30pm. Let’s get spooky, GBN!

TCD Fieldtrip: Attention Sophomores and Juniors! Want to explore a career or earn college credit in high school? Join the Technology Center of Dupage Field Trip on November 3rd to see all programs. You can pick from Robotics to Early Childhood Education and Autos to Culinary Arts or Cosmetology! See Schoology Class of 2024 and 2025 messages to access the Field Trip form. Be sure to choose two programs and get a parent/guardian signature. Deadline to turn in forms to the School Counseling Office is October 14th.  

Woodworking Club: Hey Anyone who is interested in joining woods club, please come to the woodshop on Tuesdays to build personal projects or come and learn how to use the machines so you can help build projects for the school! Hope to see you in room1570!

Wrestling: The wrestling team is hosting open mats every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:00PM-7:15PM until the start of the season on November 7th. Everyone is welcome to come and there is no experience needed. We will also be starting a girls program this year so any girls that are interested in wrestling please come to open mats every Tuesday and Thursday night.
