Scholastic Bowl: Congratulations to the varsity scholastic bowl team, which jumped out to a 2 and 0 record in Dukane conference play with a 420 to 150 victory over Wheaton South and a 420 to 40 victory over St. Charles East. Leading the attack for Glenbard North was Hamza Ghaffari, with 12 toss-ups scored, and Andrew de Leon with 9 toss-ups scored. On the JV level, both Nathan Nguyen and Brady Warren each averaged over 5 toss-ups per match to pace the team to an undefeated conference start. Way to go, Panthers!

North Technology Club:  Visit the Tech Club on Wednesday, November 9th to play Mario Kart, eat some free food, and learn more about what the club offers. We will be in room 2206 right after school.

Girls Cross Country: Congratulations to Grace Schager, your 2022 Girls 3A Cross-Country STATE CHAMPION! It was a muddy and windy day on Saturday as Grace ran at historic Detweiller Park in Peoria. She led from the very beginning and ended with a 36 second lead, completing the three mile race in 16:40. Grace is the first ever Glenbard North athlete to win a State Championship in Cross Country and she is now a two-time State Champion, having won the 3200m at the Track & Field State Championship in May. Congratulations Grace!!

ART:  All GBN freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are invited to an ART PARTY! Try something new before you graduate; you don’t need to be talented or experienced in art. Meet the art teachers, have some snacks, and see what it would be like to take an art class as you experiment with paint, vintage darkroom photography, and/or clay– all within a fun, relaxing environment. The party will be after school on Wednesday, Nov. 30. Drop in any time between 2:30-4pm.  

Reality Illinois: Looking for a club that meets at 6pm -7pm/once per month/ to promote positive mental wellness? Join REALITY ILLINOIS/the Teen Board to the Health Dept. Next meeting is on Tues Nov 8 (no school day) at the Glenbard District Office Questions contact Gilda Ross.

Step Team: GBN Step Team is back after being on a hiatus for over 10 years. The Show Stompers are ready to step, and we need your help with boots, uniforms, and travel expenses. Help us by donating to our Snap Raise! Any amount will help us reach our goal.

Scholastic Bowl: Congratulations to the Panther JV Quiz Bowl team, which, after initially dropping last-second losses to two top teams, managed to win their next 4 matches in a row at the 22-23 Wheaton North Falcon Classic. Freshman Ishanth Dontha and sophomores Maddie Paulien and Madalyn Cook led the attack, connecting on 4.00, 3.74, and 2.60 hits per match, respectively. Way to go, Panthers!

Woodworking Club: Hey Anyone who is interested in joining woods club, please come to the woodshop on Tuesdays to build personal projects or come and learn how to use the machines so you can help build projects for the school! Hope to see you in room1570!

Wrestling: The wrestling team is hosting open mats every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:00PM-7:15PM until the start of the season on November 7th. Everyone is welcome to come and there is no experience needed. We will also be starting a girls program this year so any girls that are interested in wrestling please come to open mats every Tuesday and Thursday night.
