Girls’ Track and Field: The team (at both levels) gave a tremendous effort at the DuKane Conference Track and Field Meet on Saturday! Varsity placed 6th (just a point out of 5th) as a team and the JV squad placed 4th. Grace Schager started off the day by winning the 3200 m run in a NEW CONFERENCE AND SCHOOL RECORD TIME of 10 minutes, 34.21 seconds! Other OUTSTANDING VARSITY PERFORMANCES: Iter Redento placed 2nd in Discus and 3rd in Shot Put. Taylor Finke placed 2nd in Long Jump. Brooklyn McQuillan placed 3rd in the 400 m dash. Hannah Elrod was 3rd Long Jump and 5th in the high jump. The coaches were impressed with the efforts at both levels.
Testing Center: The Testing Center will open at 6:30 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays this week and next week during finals. We are open during finals week.
Cheerleading: Do you want to be part of our cheerleading program? Then come to our mandatory informational meeting on Monday May 9 from 6:00-6:30pm in the cafeteria to learn more about tryouts. This meeting is for athletes and parents. We hope to see you there!
The Write Place: The last day that The Write Place will be open will be Thursday, May 12th. It has been a great year, North! If you are interested in becoming a tutor next year, it is not too late! The Write Place is still accepting applications. Fill out your Google Form application today! If you have any questions, you can stop by The Write Place or email Ms.Talarico. Monday 5/9: Senior Spirit Day! Wear your Senior Shirt and leave your mark! Handprints will be done outside the library from 1:47 pm – 3:15 pm.
Tuesday 5/10: Next Step Spirit!
Wednesday 5/11: Sunrise Yoga and Senior Gratitude! Meet on the Weber Field at 6:40 am for Sunrise yoga with Ms. Masse and Mr. Smith. Show your gratitude during your lunch period by writing a thank you note to the teachers and staff that helped you along the way. Wear your College, Career, or Military shirt and share what you will be doing next year. Come to the Orchestra and Intermediate Band concert at 7:30pm
Thursday 5/12: Panther Golf Outing! Continue to write gratitude notes during lunch. Meet at Coyote Crossing for Free Senior Mini Golf from 4-6 pm. Come and support the Symphonic and Concert Band by attending their concert at 7:30 pm in the Aud.
Friday 5/13: Senior Send-Off! After picking up your Cap and Gown, it’s finally time to see the Class of 2022 Senior Video created by Mr. Hennessey! Then head to Hampe Park for the senior picnic. Food will be available for purchase from Billy Brooks Pizza & Sportys!
Steppers: Back by popular demand after MANY years! Any student who is interested in getting in on the ground floor of the Glenbard North Step club is encouraged to come to a planning meeting on Tuesday May 10th after school in the Theatre! Even graduating seniors! We want your input and ideas! Please see Mr. King if you have any questions!
Civics Club: Attention Juniors and Seniors: Are you interested in working as an election judge for 2022 Primaries for the State of Illinois? The date of the primary election is June 28, 2022. To serve as an election judge, you must have a 3.75 GPA or higher and complete the required training by June 20th. If you are interested, you must attend an information meeting which will be on Tuesday, May 3rd both before school staring at 7:00am or after school at 2:40. The meeting will take place in room 1118. Please email Mr. Coon in the Social Studies Department if you have any questions.

Panther Press: would like to offer a HUGE shoutout to all the Administration, staff and students who made our first year in business extremely successful. With your support we were able to present our inaugural $500 Prowl scholarship to Olivia Cornelius. None of this would have been possible without you.
Health Office: JUNIORS – please make an appointment to get your 2nd meningococcal conjugate vaccination. This is a state of Illinois requirement for entry into 12th grade. Please send proof of your vaccination to the health office by May 1st, 2022.
North Technology Club: Join the North Technology Club to learn about CRYPTOCURRENCY and PYTHON programming. Meetings are every Wednesday after school in room 2206. Everyone is welcome. No experience required!
