Senior Picnic: Come to the Senior Class Picnic on Friday, May 18th from 10-12:30 at Hampe Park. There will be food trucks from Toasty Taco, Cupcakes for Courage and Chick-Fil-A. Cash and cards will be accepted. There will be plenty of games and time to spend with your friends.
Art Department: Please be sure to visit the Spring Art Show outside the auditorium. See if you can guess the theme of this, the final All-school Art Show at Glenbard North.
The show runs through Thursday, May 16.
Bookstore: The bookstore will be closed today for 7th period lunch, after school, and all day tomorrow.
Seniors: Senior Class T-Shirts are on Sale during lunch for $10. We have a limited number so make sure you buy yours on Monday, May 7th.
Nurse’s Office: College Bound Seniors:
College bound seniors should request a copy of the immunization records from the nurse’s office before the end of the school year if they do not have a copy at home. The nursing staff will not be available in the summer to respond to requests, and colleges may limit admission without this information.
All Grade Levels:
Any student with medication in the nurse’s office should pick up their medication and take it home before their last day of school. Medication not picked up will be discarded.
Cheer: Cheer tryouts begins this week! Please join us in the cafe May 9th, 10th, and 11th. Clinics will be Wednesday and Thursday from 4-6. Tryouts will be on Friday. Hope to see you there!
Prom Tickets: Prom tickets are for sale on Tuesday, May 8, during all lunch periods, for $65. Tickets will also be available Wednesday, May 9, during all lunch periods, and Saturday, May 12 ,from 2-4, for $70. Please see Ms. Burns in the School Counseling Office with any questions.
Girls Track & Field: The girls track and field team competed in their last DVC meet on Thursday, May 3rd. The varsity team was led by our ALL-CONFERENCE athletes, Jasmine Stokes, placing 1st in Discus with state-qualifying throw of 128 feet 9 inches. The 4x400m Relay comprised of Hannah Ivy, Alyssa Laherty, Akira Lebron, Brenda Nguyen place 1st place ran a state qualifying time of 4 minutes, one second. Honorable mention to other varsity placers: Sarah Ozeki, Bailey Wind, Delaney Guy. The JV team placed fourth with great performances from Lily Guy, Megan Kalemba, Ariel Ivy, Arielle Capel, Emily Solucha, Skyler Jordan, Riley Hernandez, Bridget Ulbert and Karina Aguilar. The girls track and field team will be competing at the sectional meet on Thursday at Wheaton Warrenville South High School at 4pm. Come out and support the girls as they compete to have an opportunity to advance to the State Track and Field meet.
Glenbard North/East Girls Swimming: Interested in swimming this upcoming Fall season? Any girl swimmer should attend the preseason meeting this Wednesday at Fountain View Recreation center from 7-9 pm in room 120.
National English Honor Society: Juniors- Just a reminder that if you received an invitation for membership into NEHS for the 2018-2019 school year, your application and fees are due this Friday, May 11th. PLEASE NOTE that there is an error on the application. You are required to complete 25 service hours next year–not the 40 listed on the application. Contact Mrs. Payton or Ms. Burgoni for questions.
