Nurse’s Office: College Bound Seniors: College bound seniors should request a copy of the immunization records from the nurse’s office before the end of the school year if they do not have a copy at home. The nursing staff will not be available in the summer to respond to requests, and colleges may limit admission without this information. All Grade Levels: Any student with medication in the nurse’s office should pick up their medication and take it home before their last day of school. Medication not picked up will be discarded.

Senior Picnic: Come to the Senior Class Picnic on Friday, May 18th from 10-12:30 at Hampe Park. There will be food trucks from Toasty Taco, Cupcakes for Courage and Chick-Fil-A. Cash and cards will be accepted. There will be plenty of games and time to spend with your friends.

Seniors: Senior Class T-Shirts are on Sale during lunch for $10.

Testing Center: The Testing Center will be open at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays only through Thursday, May 24th, during finals week.

Library: Students, please make sure you return your books to the library ASAP! If you have a fine to pay, please see/contact Ms. Pierce or Ms. Esposito to make arrangements. Seniors, please make sure you take care of your fines no later than today, May 15th! Thank you!

 Boys Soccer: There will be a Boys Soccer meeting for all returning players on today, May 16th at 2:45 pm in room 1581. Please see Mr. Bowser if you have questions. Come out and meet our new Head Coach.

 Art Department: Please be sure to visit the Spring Art Show outside the auditorium. The show runs through Thursday, May 17. Congratulations to our 2018 Art Show winners Student Choice winners are: Madison Gordon in Drawing, Zacharie Esperanza Cartooning, Jessica Casas Photography, Tam Ta AP Studio Art, Hill Patel Computer Art, Beatriz Hernandez Ceramics 2, Nicole Tellez Painting, Jacara Edmond Sculpture, Radha Patel Digital Photography and Ben Rodrigues Graphic Design. Staff Choice winners are: Ritu Patel in Drawing, Alyssa Cooper Cartooning, Janielle Calauan Photography, Jackie Andres AP Studio Art, Yesenia Ramos Computer Art, Lindsey Toman Ceramics 2, Fatima Ortiz Painting, Miguel Austin Sculpture, Dan Rosario Digital Photography and Ben Rodrigues Graphic Design.

The Write Place: Congratulations to all of the new Write Place tutors hired for the 2018-2019 school year. With that being said, our last day open is this today May 16, 2018. Please stop in and see us or make an appointment for the last few days of the year! Write on!

Music: The annual Glenbard North Spring Choir Concert will be held in Livingston Auditorium on Thursday, May 19 at 7:30 p.m. All choirs will perform music from many times and places, including the Indian raga “Desh” by Ethan Sperry, “Nyon, Nyon” by Jake Runestad, and two songs that have been featured on albums by The Pentatonix. Which ones? Come to the concert and find out! Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students/seniors, Free for Glenbard North students and students 8th grade and younger.

SADD: You may have heard about the tragic bonfire accident that seriously injured 4 Glenbard East students. SADD would like to show Glenbard East that Glenbard North cares. Members of SADD will be collecting money during lunches this week. Toss in your loose change and let’s help the families of the burn victims.

Memorial Event: Please join us on Monday, May 21st at 1:50 to honor the life of Mr. Michael Bado. The memorial will take place in the courtyard outside Door 13 which is at the North end of the 1300 hallway. Although attendance is not mandatory, this event is perfect for students impacted in any way with Mr. Bado’s passing to have a proper goodbye.
