The Well: The Well meets every Wednesday morning at 6:45 in room 2304. The Well exists for those with interest or questions about faith, the bible, and Jesus Christ. Fine Arts:   Are you interested in a career in the fine arts? Want to learn more about the admission and audition process for colleges? Not sure how to even apply for a fine arts major? Look no further for the answers to your questions than the D87 Fine Arts College and Career Night! Taking place on March 15th from 6pm-9pm at GBN, students and families will have access to a college fair, admissions panel, and breakout sessions in various areas of the fine arts. We are lucky enough to have TV and stage actor, as well as Glenbard North alumni Eric Petersen giving our keynote address. Girls Wrestling: Congratulations to the Girls wrestling program for an outstanding performance this weekend at the Girls State Championships Nadiia Shimkev earned all state honors placing 4th And Gabby Gomez earned her second IHSA Girls State Wrestling Title! Congratulations Girls!

Boys Volleyball: Try-outs for any boys interested in playing Volleyball this year starts next Monday March 6th from 5-7:30pm in the Main Gym. Be a part of a fun, competitive sport!! We are looking forward to defending our Conference Title & excited to earn another Regional Championship! Any questions see Coach DeBenedetti

Student Council: Attention Junior and Seniors. The Fall Blood Drive is this Wednesday, March 8th, in the West Gym Balcony. For more information and sign up. Expect to miss 45-60 of class time from your sign up time. Students 16 year old can donate but need to pickup a permission slip from room 1120.

Girls Track and Field: On Saturday, the Girls Track & Field team competed at the Batavia Open. Congratulations to Skyler Libel on her 2nd place finish in the Long Jump and to Grace Schager on winning both the 3200m and 1600m. Grace’s time in the 3200m (10:19.23) broke the Batavia Fieldhouse record, set the GBN team record and is currently the 4th fastest time in the nation. Great job, ladies! Come see the team run on Thursday night as they host S. Elgin and Plano.

Social Studies:  Attention Seniors: The Social Studies Department is now accepting applications for the Social Studies Scholarship. The application is available in the Local Scholarships Schoology Group. To be considered for the scholarship, you must submit a completed application by Monday, March 13.

Theatre: Glenbard North is getting ready to put on its first show of the year! We are proud to present our two original spring studio productions, Gladiolus Rising by Livi King  and Two of Us by Isaiah Bostwick. 

Gladiolus Rising tells the story of Arwen, a high school Junior, who loves nothing more than creative writing. Her biggest continuing story is a high fantasy adventure entitled “Gladiolus Rising”. When Arwen loses her biggest muse midway through the school year, Arwen must reconnect with her passion in order to reclaim her story. A beautiful story about love, loss, and the power of perseverance. Two of Us “Tommy, Roger, and a couple of their friends go on a cross country trip to the Woodstock festival in 1969. Their relationships are tested as they learn more about each other and themselves. In a time of the Vietnam War and various other protests, will love and music still prevail?”  Performances are March 9th and March 11th at 7:30pm and March 10th at 4:00pm. Tickets are $5 and are available at the door or online. All shows are in the Little Theatre.  We are so excited to kick off the spring semester in theatre, and we can’t wait to see you there! 

Art Department: Gifted Artist Scholarship: Any senior planning to pursue a career in visual arts can apply. Applications are due by March 22. Email your art teacher for the link.  

Nurse:  JUNIORS You need a 2nd Meningococcal vaccination to enter 12th grade. You can not get a parking pass, school ID, or start 12th grade until the nurses have proof of this vaccination. Please email proof of vaccinations to the nurse OR drop off in the Health Office. Come see us OR check the GBN health office page for local vaccination resources.  

Counseling: Local Scholarships: Class of 2023 Local Scholarships: Do you need $$ for college or a trade school? Go to the Local Scholarship Schoology Group and start filling out applications today. Deadlines range from late January to March.
