Athletics: Interested in playing a spring sport? Make sure to pick up a new gold card before tryouts. Stop by the athletic office and see Ms. Hengesh to get yours today. Students must have an eligible physical on file with the Athletic Office in order to participate. The Athletic Office is open before and after school along with all lunch hours.

Newspaper: Are you interested in journalism, writing, photography, or cartooning? If so, the North Current, Glenbard North’s student newspaper, is the place for you! Our next meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 30 after school in Room 2235. New members are always welcome. No experience is needed. Please see Ms. Buck-Castaneda or Ms. Pierce if you have any questions.

 The Write Place: Got a bad case of writer’s block, GBN? Do you catch yourself staring at a blank document for hours? Have no fear! We’ve got the write stuff at The Write Place! Come visit Room 1406 during lunch periods and work with a tutor on your writing assignment for any class. Feel free to stop by, grab a yummy treat, and make an appointment today!

 Key Club: Want to show some love this Valentine’s Day? Send a carnation to a friend, teacher, or loved one for Valentine’s day by placing an order between January 23rd and January 31st during all lunch periods; only $2 a piece! All proceeds will be donated to the Kiwanis Neuroscience Research Foundation.

 Yoga Club: Thursday, February 7th 2:45-3:45 Room 1454 No experience or equipment needed.

 Women’s Empowerment Club: Please join us Today, January 29th right after school in Room 1322 to learn more about the club and plan our first event. New members welcome!

Girls Track & Field: For girls interested in joining the track and field team, there will be a brief informational meeting in the Faculty Cafeteria at 2:50pm today, January 29th. If you have any questions see Coach Bonner in room 2121 or the math office.

 Yearbook: Attention Seniors! It’s time to nominate your classmates for their sense of humor, great potential, Instagram posts…and more. Go to your Class of 2019 Schoology Page and take your Senior Superlative Survey before it’s too late. The results will be included in the 2019 Aquilo, so vote for your friends, now.

 Cheerleading: Congratulations to Glenbard North Varsity Cheerleading on their amazing performance at Sectionals this past weekend! They will be advancing to State and performing this Friday in Bloomington! Come show your support and cheer them on! GO PANTHERS!!
