ISA: This year ISA will be hosting its 10 year anniversary India Night production!  Over 175 students and teachers are involved in 15 acts.  Thursday, January 25th at 7PM is a FREE show for all staff and their immediate family and students with a current ID! If you cannot attend for free on Thursday, tickets are available for $6 in the cafeteria or on GBN’s website for Friday, January 26th, and Saturday, January 27th. Hope to see you there! 

 

Athletics: Believe it or not spring is just around the corner. Any student wishing to try out or participate in a spring sport should stop in the athletic office for their gold card. Spring sports include: Boys Track, Girls Track, Badminton, Baseball, Boys Gymnastics, Girls Soccer, Softball, Boys Tennis, and Boys Volleyball.

 

Newspaper: Are you interested in writing, photography, or cartooning? If so, The North Current is the perfect activity for you! Glenbard North’s student newspaper will have its next meeting on Thursday, February 1 after school in Room 2235. Pizza will be served. Come join the fun. New members are ALWAYS welcome!

 

Girls Softball: Any girl interested in trying out for softball this spring, should attend a brief meeting today, January 24th. The meeting will take place at 2:35 in room 2108. If you have any questions, see coach Sanew in room 2108.

SADD: Are you aware that the opioid epidemic has been called the worst drug crisis in American history. In the United States, more than 27,000 people a year die from opioid overdoses. Come hear from someone who is making a difference. Today, January 24th Mr. Hennessey is speaking after school in room 1241. Come hear what he has learned about this crisis and about the program that he is developing called Challenge Addiction. Learn what you can do to help. This event is sponsored by SADD. All students and faculty are invited.

 

Girls’ Track and Field: There will be a brief informational meeting in the faculty cafeteria on today, January 24th at 2:45 for those girls interested in joining the girls’ track and field team.

 

Badminton: Attention all girls! There is conditioning for Badminton, today after school. Please meet outside the main gym at 2:45. Bring water and a friend! There is no better way to get ready for the season than by working out with the program. Hope to see you there!
