Prism: Today, April 14th, 2023 is the Day of Silence. The GLSEN Day of Silence is a national student-led demonstration where LGBTQ+ students and allies all around the country — and the world— take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people in schools. If you’d like a Day of Silence sticker in honor of this day, you can grab one at the front desk in the School Counseling office!
Theatre: GBN Theatre is getting ready to present its spring mainstage, She Kills Monsters! “She Kills Monsters” is a comedic romp into the world of fantasy playing games. It tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she stumbles into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was Tilly’s refuge. The show runs April 20th-22nd at 7:30pm in the Little Theatre. Tickets are $8 and available at the door or online. We hope to see you there!

Girls Basketball: There will be a brief informational meeting for all returning girls basketball players afterschool on Thursday. This meeting will communicate important information about the summer and next year. If you are planning to play basketball next year, please make every effort to attend. The meeting will begin promptly at 2:40PM, so those with Spring sports practices should be able to attend.

Varsity Boys Tennis: Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Tennis team winning against South Elgin on Monday’s match! They had some very long sets but pulled through to win overall as a team 5-2. Good Luck to the team as they play at Geneva this Thursday and at West Chicago, Friday evening.
JV Boys Tennis: Congratulations to JV Boys Tennis placing 3rd in the GBN Quad over the weekend and taking another win against South Elgin on Monday’s match. Can the team continue their winning streak? Cheer them on this Thursday (Vs. Geneva) and Friday (Vs. West Chicago) at our home matches!
North Technology Club: The NTC is hosting a Super Smash Bros Tournament on Wednesday, April 19th after school in the library. Free for all current students. You can compete to try to win the grand prize, or you can hang out, eat snacks, and watch the competition. RSVP using the QR code online and located around the school.
Girls Track & Field: Congratulations to the Girls Track & Field team on their 5th place finish at the Downers Grove South Invitational. The team was led with 1st place finishes by Bella Valentin in the 100m Hurdles and Skyler Libel in the Long Jump. Brooklyn McQuillan placed 2nd in the 400m while Mia Voulamandis also placed 2nd in the 200m dash. Also on Saturday, Grace Schager competed at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational in Southern California. She ran 10:03.27 in the 3200m to improve her own school record by 14 seconds. Her time is the 5th fastest ever by a runner from Illinois. Great job, ladies!

ISO Basketball: Clash of the Titans Basketball Game: Come help us PACK THE HOUSE on Friday, April 14th @ 6pm when our Special Olympics Basketball Team takes on a combination of the Girls/Boys Basketball Team! Free entry, half time competition, 50/50 raffle, and family fun. All proceeds go directly to the Special Olympics Basketball Team.
