Boys Track and Field: The boys track and field team traveled to St. Charles East this past weekend for the Elmore McCornack Invitational. Dylan Hendee and Dylan Bradford stole the show in the field events winning in the Shot and Discus, while Evan Moran joined them with a win the High Jump. Other special mention goes out to the following athletes. Damarion Elliston, Mark Dome, Matthew Shelton, Sterling Williams, Jeremiah Williams, Daniel Prochaska, Luke Moran, Faizaan Haq, and Royce Krush

Girls Track & Field: Congratulations to the Girls Track & Field team on their 5th place finish at the Downers Grove South Invitational. The team was led with 1st place finishes by Bella Valentin in the 100m Hurdles and Skyler Libel in the Long Jump. Brooklyn McQuillan placed 2nd in the 400m while Mia Voulamandis also placed 2nd in the 200m dash. Also on Saturday, Grace Schager competed at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational in Southern California. She ran 10:03.27 in the 3200m to improve her own school record by 14 seconds. Her time is the 5th fastest ever by a runner from Illinois. Great job, ladies!

The North Current – Newspaper: DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE AN EDITOR FOR THE NORTH CURRENT, GLENBARD NORTH’S STUDENT NEWSPAPER? We are looking for leaders for the 2023-2024 school year. Stop by Room 2235 and scan the QR code for access to an application for a position as editor of North’s student newspaper. Be sure to also sign up for an interview slot. We will be conducting interviews on Tuesday, April 18. Contact Ms. Buck-Castaneda or Ms. Slattery if you have any questions or need more information.

GBN Lululemon Shop: GBN’s Lululemon Shop is open until April 18th. 

School Counseling:  Seniors! Are you worried about paying for college? Struggling to decide which college is offering you the best financial aid package? Come to our Financial Aid Award Letter Workshop during your lunch period on Tuesday, April 11th. Bring your award letters and your iPad to Lab 2233. See your counselor with questions! 

Juniors & Seniors: Prom ticket sales begin on Saturday, April 22nd! If you’re bringing a guest to Prom, please be sure to check Schoology for more information regarding Dance Guest Passes. All guest pass requests are due on Wednesday, April 26th. For all information regarding Prom 2023.

ISO Basketball: Clash of the Titans Basketball Game: Come help us PACK THE HOUSE on Friday, April 14th @ 6pm when our Special Olympics Basketball Team takes on a combination of the Girls/Boys Basketball Team! Free entry, half time competition, 50/50 raffle, and family fun. All proceeds go directly to the Special Olympics Basketball Team.

Lit Mag: Artists & creative writers, submit your artwork, photography, prose, and poetry to the spring edition of GBN’s Literary Magazine. Work can be featured anonymously or with attribution. Scan the QR codes around the building or email your submissions to Margaret Quinn by Friday, 4/14.  

Club Interact:  Apply to Link Crew! All current SOPHOMORES and JUNIORS are eligible to apply to the Link Crew program. Link Crew is a nationally-known program. We are looking for CREATIVE, PASSIONATE students, who can STAND OUT and LEAD others. The online application is due TOMORROW, APRIL 6th! Click the link below to apply! 

Club Interact: Attention all! The Community Wide Food Drive is coming up on Saturday, April 22nd and we need your help! Volunteers are needed to help unload donations and load up the donations on the food pantries’ trucks! Please sign up for a shift.

Club Interact: Attention all first period classes! The Toilet paper challenge begins today so if you can spare a square then you can donate a roll!! The first period class that donates the most rolls of toilet paper by Friday, April 21st for the Community-wide food drive will win $5 gift card for each student in the class for either Dunkin’ Donuts or Starbucks and $25 gift card for your teacher!

Club Interact:  Attention all Club Interact members! We will have a quick meeting on Tuesday, April 11th at 7:10 am in the faculty cafeteria to discuss the toilet paper drive, community wide food drive and senior care packages!

Poms:  Do you love to dance? Are you interested in being a part of Glenbard North’s dance team? If you are interested in trying out, please fill out this google form with your information. Here are some important dates to keep in mind: -Mandatory Interest Meeting- Tuesday, April 18th @ 7pm (via Zoom) -Clinics- Wednesday, May 3rd & Thursday, May 4th from 6-8:30pm (in GBN’s cafeteria) -Tryouts- Saturday, May 6th from 8am-10:30am (in GBN’s cafeteria)  

Nurse:  JUNIORS You need a 2nd Meningococcal vaccination to enter 12th grade. You can not get a parking pass, school ID, or start 12th grade until the nurses have proof of this vaccination. Please email proof of vaccinations to Nurse OR drop off in the Health Office. Come see us OR check the GBN health office page for local vaccination resources.
