2026-27 COURSE ENROLLMENT INFORMATION

Our School Counseling Department is excited to begin the course enrollment process for the 2026-27 school year. On Monday, December 1st, school counselors will present a screencast to all freshman, sophomore, and junior students.  Instruction will be provided to students on how to enter their course requests online in PowerSchool.  Students will be able to enter their course selections beginning December 1st and must complete this process by January 4, 2026.  Students who have an IEP or who receive academic support within the EL program will have access to view their course selections. 

Your student must give careful consideration to his/her course choices. Any changes past January 23rd, 2026 must be discussed with the student’s school counselor and are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. Parents, we value your input in this process because you best understand your own student’s interests and goals. You also see how the overall academic rigor of his or her schedule affects daily functioning. Please encourage your student to thoroughly read the GBN Academic Program Guide, talk to teachers, and utilize the “Guidelines for Course Enrollment” sheet that counselors developed to assist them.

Early December (Course Recommendation Email):

Parents will receive an email from the Counseling Department regarding the course enrollment process.  

December 1-5 (Curriculum Advisement Week):

Teachers have one-on-one verbal conversations with each student regarding their recommended courses for next year.

December 1 (Counselors provide enrollment information):

Counselors present a screencast on the enrollment process to all freshman, sophomore, and junior Panther Hour Advisory classes.  Students will learn how to enter their courses in PowerSchool for the next school year. 

December 1 – January 4: Student Online Enrollment OPEN

Students and parents will have from December 1, 2025 – January 4, 2026, to input course requests in the student portal of PowerSchool.  Please see the Guidelines for Course Enrollment Sheet for helpful enrollment tips.

January 5, 2026: Student Online Enrollment CLOSED

January 9 – 23, 2026:  (Individual counselor/student follow-up meetings)

January 9, 2026:  Online TCD Application due
