Science Tutoring: is now available in the QUAD during lunch on Tuesdays through Fridays; AND after school on Wednesday’s in room 2232. Get help for a test, a retake, or with homework.
 
Wrestling: is beginning their pre-season training every Tuesday and Thursday in the varsity wrestling room from 3:00 PM – 4:15 PM. This will start August 31st and run through October 28th. No experience necessary and we will have shoes in case you need to rent them. This is a non-cut sport!!! Bring a friend. If you have any questions please as Coach Cherry, Coach Edwards, or Coach Lifonti.   
 
Civics Club: Come out and see what the Civics Club is all about! It’s a club for students that are interested in politics and active engagement in their community. It’s all about “We the People.” On September 14 we will be planning our voter registration drive event for National Voter Registration Day (September 28) and we’ll be brainstorming some ideas for the rest of the year. Bring a friend, bring your ideas, and we’ll see you September 14th! Meeting starts at 2:40 in Room 1-110.   
 
Club Interact: Interested in giving back? Do you consider yourself a leader? Want to participate in service opportunities in the community? If you do please consider joining Club Interact this year! Our first meeting will be before school Wednesday, September 15th from 7:10-7:25 in the faculty cafeteria and all are welcome!!
 
Join the North Current: Glenbard North’s student newspaper, for an interest meeting on Thursday, September 16 at 2:40 PM in Room 2235. Come learn about the school newspaper, meet the editors and faculty sponsors, find out about our production schedule, and learn how to become a part of our team as a writer, photographer, artist, or editor. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Buck-Castaneda or Ms. Pierce. Join our Schoology group to keep updated as well.
 
Girls Cross Country: Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country team on their performance at Saturday’s 24-team Lake Park Invitational. It was fantastic conditions and most athletes ran their best times of the season. A special shout out to junior Grace Schager. She was the overall meet winner with a time of 16:57 for the three mile course. That’s currently the fastest time in the state and the fastest 3 mile time ever run by a GBN athlete. Great job Ladies!
 
Athletics: This week and throughout the month of September. Glenbard North Athletics is taking a stand against pediatric cancer. We will be partnering with Cal’s Angels and hosting a Gold Out this Friday at the Football game vs. St Charles East. Cal’s Angels shirts will be available for purchase during lunch periods this week for $10. Let’s turn Glenbard North Gold in honor of Pediatric Cancer Awareness!
